Emirates SkyCargo Adds MAN Euro 6 Trucks

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Emirates SkyCargo, Emirates' airfreight division, has launched 40 new Euro 6 trucks from MAN, in collaboration with Allied Transport Company.

The fleet renewal is the first deployment of long-haul Euro 6 heavy commercial vehicles in the Middle East, and it seeks to increase operational efficiency while reducing emissions in ground logistics.

Emirates SkyCargo's new fleet aims to reduce CO₂ emissions by 17% annually, aligning with the company's environmental goals.

The trucks have modern driver-assistance technology such as AI-based monitoring systems, blind-spot recognition, and 360-degree view tools to improve road safety. Each truck also has twin cameras, GPS, and cloud-based tracking, which allow for real-time operational monitoring and increased cargo security.

The Emirates SkyCargo truck fleet, which connects Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) and Dubai International Airport (DXB), transports about 1,000 tons of goods every day over a 77-kilometer stretch.
