Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - HD Construction Equipment and Manitou Group have reached a cross-supply agreement to expand their small construction equipment portfolios and boost the worldwide offers of the Hyundai, Develon, Manitou, and Gehl brands.

Under the agreement, HD Construction Equipment will get chosen small equipment from Manitou Group for sale under the Hyundai and Develon brands. Manitou Group, in turn, would purchase compact equipment from HD Construction Equipment and sell it under the Manitou and Gehl brands.

Compact equipment includes machines like micro excavators, skid steer loaders, and compact track loaders, which are often employed in urban construction, utilities, landscaping, agricultural, and rental industries.

Both companies provide existing equipment portfolios to the cooperation. HD Construction Equipment owns the Hyundai and Develon brands, whilst Manitou Group owns Manitou and Gehl, both of which are well-known for their small machinery and material handling equipment.

The collaboration aims to broaden the product offerings accessible via both firms' worldwide sales and dealer networks, as well as help their development in the small equipment area.

HD Construction Equipment aims to sell about $930 million in compact equipment by 2030, and the Manitou alliance is part of its expansion plan in the category.
