Saudi Diesel Forms Partnership For Local Truck Assembly

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Saudi Diesel has struck a tripartite deal with Perfect Arabia and Daewoo Trucks to establish a local vehicle assembly factory in Saudi Arabia, bolstering the Kingdom's ambitions to grow domestic manufacturing under Vision 2030.

Daewoo Commercial Vehicles, which has been part of Tata Motors since its USD 102 million purchase in 2004, offers a comprehensive line of extra-heavy vehicles, including tractors, mixers, tippers, and cargo versions. Perfect Arabia, established in 2011, runs a metal fabrication factory in Al Kharj Industrial City that is outfitted with advanced CNC technology and helps to the country's industrial growth.

The new assembly facility will allow all three partners to profit from Saudi Arabia's rapidly expanding logistics and transportation industry. Rising demand for road freight capacity, continuous infrastructure improvements, and industrial zone growth all contribute to a greater need for dependable heavy-duty trucks. Localized assembly may improve availability, decrease lead times, and strengthen the whole supply chain that serves logistics operators across the Kingdom.
