Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Dubai is developing the Dubai Auto Market, a large-scale automobile center administered by DP World and strategically connected to the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), which is around 45 minutes away. Located on Dubai's mainland near Al Awir, the facility would combine free-zone and mainland operations to enable regional and worldwide automobile commerce.
Under DP World's supervision, the 20-million-square-foot market will give traders, distributors, service providers, and mobility firms with a single ecosystem, simplified logistics, and access to Dubai's larger supply chain network.
Multi-story car storage, showrooms, testing tracks, passenger and commercial vehicle workshops, auction spaces, technical testing centers, yards, and loading areas are among the planned amenities. Shared facilities will include office space, logistical services, retail and food and beverage outlets, banks, insurance services, a mosque, and provisions for EV and future hydrogen fueling.
The market, which is supported by Dubai Government agencies such as DET, JAFZA, Dubai Auto Zone, Dubai Municipality, and RTA, will operate inside an established regulatory and logistical framework, with Dubai Trade offering single-window digital services for customs and licensing. The Dubai Auto Market is anticipated to bolster the emirate's status as a regional center for automotive commerce and mobility solutions.
