DHL Supply Chain To Build New Regional Hub At Saudi Arabia’s SILZ

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - DHL Supply Chain will spend €130 million to build a significant regional logistics and distribution center in Riyadh's Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ). The business has inked a long-term land leasing deal for the project, demonstrating its commitment to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and the Kingdom's ambition of becoming a worldwide logistics hub.

The hub will be developed on a 78,000 sqm property and will include 53,000 sqm of warehouse capacity under a 26-year lease. It is intended to serve several industries, including technology, retail, automotive, energy, and e-commerce. Construction is set to begin in early 2026, with completion expected for mid-2027. The initiative is part of DHL Group's €500 million investment in the Middle East until 2030.

The facility, located only eight kilometers from King Khalid International Airport and linked by a bonded corridor, will provide quick access to global aviation routes while also improving incoming logistics and export flows. The initiative would also allow foreign corporations to consolidate regional distribution in Saudi Arabia.
