Mitsubishi Fuso To Debut Hydrogen Truck Concepts At Japan Mobility Show 2025

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - From October 30 to November 9, 2025, Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) will show off two hydrogen-powered heavy-duty truck ideas, the H2IC and H2FC, at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo.

The H2IC has a hydrogen combustion engine that runs on compressed hydrogen gas, and the H2FC has a fuel cell system that runs on liquid hydrogen. The H2FC can go up to 1,200 kilometers and can be refueled in about 15 minutes. This shows that hydrogen can be used for long-distance and heavy-duty tasks.

The H2FC also has Japan's first subcooled liquid hydrogen (sLH2) refueling system, which was made with Daimler Truck and Linde Engineering. This system cuts down on gas loss and lowers the cost of building new infrastructure.

MFTBC is working with Iwatani Corporation, Japan's only supplier of liquid hydrogen, to help with research, rules, and standardization of sLH₂ technology. The project shows that MFTBC is dedicated to creating zero-emission options for commercial transportation and making hydrogen-powered vehicles more common in Japan.
