Mercedes-Benz Introduces Next-Generation Eactros Trucks

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Mercedes-Benz Trucks has presented the second generation of its eActros models, expanding the range with the new eActros 400 to complement the long-haul eActros 600. Together, the lineup offers over 40 configurations, varying by battery capacity, cab type, wheelbase, and axle design.

The eActros 400 is fitted with two battery packs (414 kWh) for ranges up to 480 km, while the eActros 600 carries three packs (621 kWh) and can reach up to 560 km. Both allow charging up to 400 kW, with megawatt charging planned for the 600. The 400 prioritises payload efficiency, while the 600 is optimised for extended journeys.

Buyers can choose between the standard L-cab or the larger ProCabin, each equipped with driver-assistance systems, MirrorCam, and digital cockpits tailored for electric operations. Orders will open in October 2025, with production scheduled to begin at Wörth am Rhein later that year.

According to Mercedes-Benz, the eActros range can reduce CO₂ emissions by about 40% with the EU’s average energy mix, and by more than 80% when powered entirely by renewable electricity.
