Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Mercedes-Benz Trucks has debuted the eActros 600 in the UAE, increasing its battery-electric truck selection in the Middle East with its flagship long-haul model.
The introduction expands the company's current electric commercial vehicle offerings in the area, which already include the eEconic and eActros 400. The eActros 600 is designed for long-distance freight transport and has a battery capacity of over 600 kWh, allowing it to go up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. With interim charging during necessary driver rest periods, the truck can travel more than 1,000 kilometers per day.
The electric tractor combines a large battery and an efficient electric powertrain, allowing long-haul operators to minimize emissions while maintaining payload and productivity.
The debut of the eActros 600 coincides with the UAE's acceleration of its transition to greener transportation under the UAE Energy Strategy 2050 and Net Zero 2050.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks stated that it would continue to collaborate with its UAE partner, EMC Commercial Vehicles, to promote the adoption of zero-emission heavy-duty transportation solutions across the nation.
