MAN To Develop Electric Bus Production In Azerbaijan

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - MAN Truck & Bus is set to expand its global operations through a new partnership in Azerbaijan focused on sustainable urban transport.

A memorandum of understanding has been signed with local partner Improtex Trucks & Buses and the Azerbaijani government to introduce and assemble electric buses in the country.

The plan involves exporting vehicles and components for partial assembly, with final production and testing carried out locally. The first Lion’s City E buses are scheduled for delivery in 2026. The project includes training and support to ensure quality standards, with longer-term goals to scale up production and increase the use of locally sourced parts.
