Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - HUMAIN, a Saudi artificial intelligence company, intends to deploy thousands of autonomous vehicles throughout Saudi Arabia by 2030, focusing on important logistical corridors connecting ports, industrial cities, and distribution centers.
The effort is being created as a collaborative venture with Applied Intuition, a $15 billion physical AI and autonomous car technology business located in the US. The partners want to establish operations in Riyadh and develop autonomous transportation technologies for use across the Kingdom.
HUMAIN unveiled an autonomous vehicle at LEAP in Riyadh, outlining aspirations to create what it claims would be the world's biggest autonomous transportation network.
The technology aims to enhance the economics of Saudi road freight by enabling round-the-clock truck operations, boosting fuel economy, and increasing safety, especially on the Kingdom's long-distance freight routes.
