Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Ford Middle East and Africa has named Shamal Al-Jazeera for Automotive and Commercial Agencies (SAT) as its new authorized distributor in Iraq, with operations starting on October 1, 2026.
SAT will be responsible for the countrywide import and distribution of Ford passenger and commercial cars, as well as authentic parts, maintenance, and after-sales services.
The company is a joint venture between March Holding and Alayyan Group's automotive division, which has over 50 years of regional automotive experience and has represented brands such as Hyundai, Kia, BYD, Isuzu, Geely, and GAC.
SAT succeeds the Al-Kasid Group, which has represented Ford in Iraq for the previous nine years. Al-Kasid will continue to handle sales, parts, and maintenance until September 30, when SAT will take over Ford's activities.
Existing Ford warranties and service agreements will be valid after the changeover, and SAT intends to build updated showrooms and service facilities across Iraq.
