Evocargo And RAK Launch UAE’s First Driverless Truck Fleet

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - A major milestone for autonomous logistics in the United Arab Emirates has been reached with the deployment of the first commercial fleet of self-driving electric trucks by Evocargo and RAK Ceramics in the Al Jazeera Al Hamra industrial zone.

Using completely autonomous, zero-emission technology, the unmanned Evocargo N1 electric trucks are now moving materials and completed goods between RAK Ceramics factories. The implementation advances the UAE's broader goals for industrial automation, sustainability, and smart transportation.

Ports, industries, and logistics hubs are just a few of the industrial and logistical settings for which Evocargo creates autonomous electric freight trucks. With a heavy emphasis on economy, safety, and emissions reduction, its technologies integrate electric drivetrains, artificial intelligence, and remote fleet management to allow autonomous transportation.

The deployment is a component of RAK Ceramics' larger initiatives to modernize logistics and lower the carbon footprint of its industrial activities. RAK Ceramics is one of the biggest ceramics producers in the world, with operations that include tableware, sanitaryware, and tiles.

The initiative places the United Arab Emirates as one of the top early adopters of commercially viable autonomous freight transport.
