Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - The Queensland Fire Department (QFD) in Australia is rolling out a new fleet of advanced firefighting vehicles to enhance safety and response capabilities across the state. Regional brigades will be prioritised under the program, ensuring consistent access to modern emergency response equipment.

Built on Volvo’s FL 4x4 Crew Cab chassis and fitted with Fraser Engineering fire and rescue bodies, the new Type 2 trucks meet Euro 6 emission standards, reducing pollutants while improving performance and working conditions for firefighters.

The project also supports local industry by prioritising assembly and fit-out in Queensland, highlighting regional manufacturing capabilities. The partnership between Volvo Group Australia and Fraser Engineering positions QFD among the leaders in safety, sustainability, and fleet innovation.
