Al Tayer Motors Takes Over Kia Distribution In UAE

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Al Tayer Motors has been designated as Kia's official importer-distributor in the UAE, succeeding longtime distributor Juma Al Majid Holding Group.

Under the new agreement, Al Tayer Motors will manage Kia sales, service, parts, and aftersales activities in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, while Premier Motors will represent Kia in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. Existing warranties and service agreements will continue to be honored.

The inclusion of Kia broadens Al Tayer Motors' automotive and commercial vehicle offering. The company already represents Ford Trucks and Foton in the UAE, as well as Ford, Lincoln, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ferrari, Maserati, VinFast, and DEEPAL. Ford Trucks manufactures heavy-duty trucks for construction, logistics, and industrial uses, such as the F-MAX and F-Line Construction and Road Series.

For Juma Al Majid, the transition marks the end of a Kia association that began in 1988, when Al Majid Motors was created to promote and distribute the brand in the UAE.

Despite losing Kia, Juma Al Majid is still a key participant in the UAE's automotive and heavy equipment markets. GENAVCO represents equipment and commercial vehicle companies such as Liebherr, HAMM, Wirtgen, Vögele, BULL, and Isuzu, among others, in the earthmoving, road construction, compact equipment, and commercial vehicle segments.

Kia's UAE lineup includes passenger cars, SUVs, electric vehicles, commercial vehicles, and pickup trucks, with the newly released PV5 joining its increasing electrified commercial vehicle lineup.
