Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Garuda Construction and Engineering, headquartered in Mumbai, is expanding in Saudi Arabia with its wholly owned subsidiary Dream City Builders signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Almasarat Company for the projected building of a 93-story twisting skyscraper in Jeddah.
Dream City Builders estimates that the project will generate $191 million in income and will take around five years to complete. The agreement remains subject to the requisite permissions and project progress.
Dream City Builders, previously known as Garuda Arabia, is anticipated to manage the whole engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project, including construction, finishing, and final handover.
The planned skyscraper would cover around 153,451 square meters and include a 360-degree twisting design with sea views. Plans call for a five-star hotel with around 350 rooms on the first 14 storeys, as well as a diamond-shaped rooftop restaurant on the 93rd floor.
The project would be a major Saudi development for Garuda, an India-based civil construction and EPC contractor with its headquarters in Mumbai.
