Expo 2030 Riyadh Awards Main Utilities Contract To Nesma & Partners

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Expo 2030 Riyadh Company has awarded Nesma & Partners the Main Utilities and Civil Works package for the Expo 2030 Riyadh site, signaling the project's shift to large-scale development.

The contract involves the supply of essential infrastructure necessary to support later building stages as well as event operations. Internal road building is underway, as is the installation of utility networks throughout the property, totaling around 50 kilometers of infrastructure such as water, sewage, electricity, communications systems, and electric car charging facilities.

The package aims to construct the Expo site's infrastructural backbone, allowing for continued development of buildings, public spaces, and experience-based structures. Construction has been granted ahead of schedule as part of a phased delivery strategy that will run through 2026 and into early 2027.

Expo 2030 Riyadh is being built on a six-million-square-metre location in the Saudi capital and will run from October 2030 to March 2031. The project is expected to welcome more than 42 million visitors before being transformed into a mixed-use urban zone after the event.
