Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Al Layan Oasis, a large-scale desert tourism destination, is set to be developed by Dubai as part of a $1.1 billion portfolio of ecological and water-based development initiatives.
The project, which will be centered on a 2.5 million-square-foot lake, will encompass approximately 10 million square feet and will include leisure facilities, sports and cycling trails, camping areas, and desert-based tourism attractions. It is anticipated that the development will draw approximately 330,000 visitors annually.
Al Layan Oasis is a component of Dubai Municipality's Blue and Green Roadmap 2030, which is consistent with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033.
Around 1,000 parking spaces, integrated infrastructure, and approximately 14 km of walking and cycling paths will comprise the site, which is situated approximately 50 minutes from the city center. It will be partitioned into four zones, which will encompass recreational activities, lodging, family facilities, and events.
