Construction Advances On 46,000-Seat Jeddah Central Stadium

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Construction of Jeddah Central Stadium is progressing, with significant structural components and the venue's primary seating sections taking form.

The roughly 46,000-seat stadium is being built as a significant sports arena inside the larger Jeddah Central development. A retractable roof over the field, as well as modern cooling systems, are key elements aimed to increase spectator and player comfort.

The project is being implemented by a collaboration that includes China Railroad Construction Corporation (CRCC) and Saudi Arabia's SAMA Construction, with architectural design by Germany's GMP Architekten.

Jeddah Central Stadium is one of the stadiums proposed to assist Saudi Arabia's hosting of the FIFA World Cup in 2034, as well as providing Jeddah with a long-term facility for athletic and entertainment events.

The stadium is part of a larger redevelopment of Jeddah Central, which is expanding with additional sports, tourist, entertainment, and hospitality infrastructure as the project moves forward.
