Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Ajdan Real Estate Development Company has announced Khobar Pier, a SAR5.6 billion ($1.5 billion) waterfront development in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, that would include hotels, residential units, retail facilities, and recreational activities.

The project is being constructed in collaboration with Ashraq Development, the Tourism Development Fund, and Aljazira Capital and will span a 671,000-square-metre plot along the Arabian Gulf.

The project encompasses roughly 305,000 square meters of built area, an 850-metre shoreline, 689 residential units, 690 hotel rooms, and 33,000 square meters of commercial space.

Construction will include linked canals encircling a central island, as well as an elevated landscaped hill overlooking the Gulf. The development will also include hotels, resorts, villas, restaurants, retail stores, and water sports and leisure amenities.

Khobar Pier joins a growing list of tourist and mixed-use initiatives in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, as the Kingdom increases its hospitality infrastructure under Vision 2030.

Ajdan's current portfolio comprises Ajdan Waterfront and Fairmont Ajdan in Al Khobar, as well as Ajdan Island and other projects in Riyadh and Jeddah.
