Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Saudi Arabia's Transport General Authority (TGA) has permitted the entrance of empty refrigerated trucks from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations, as regional tensions impede shipments and supply chains.
The policy aims to facilitate the flow of food and other temperature-sensitive items from Saudi ports and airports to GCC markets, hence ensuring supply continuity.
Authorities said the move is aimed to maintain the consistent flow and timely delivery of critical items, especially those that need cold-chain logistics.
The TGA further said that the vehicles must meet all legal and operational criteria, with activities confined to hauling commodities that need chilled temperatures.
