DP World Expands Dominican Republic Logistics Hub With New $100 Million Investment

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - To improve the logistics and storage facilities in the DP World Free Trade Zone in Caucedo, DP World and the Dominican Republic government will spend an additional $100 million.

The new investment complements the $760 million development plan for the Port of Caucedo and the free trade zone around it that was previously announced.

In order to meet the increasing demand for commerce across the Americas, the expansion will provide expanded storage facilities, boost logistics capacity, and better integrate supply chain, free zone, and port operations.

The logistics center, which is situated in Caucedo, is essential to regional commerce, manufacturing, and distribution operations that connect North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

According to DP World, the investment enhances the Dominican Republic's standing as a key industrial and logistical hub for the area.
