
Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - AD Ports Group has started an integrated logistics service linking Khalifa Port in the UAE with Umm Qasr Port in Iraq, enhancing regional trade routes and boosting cargo connectivity throughout the Middle East.
The new weekly service will carry both container and Ro-Ro goods, establishing a direct connection between the two ports and enhancing commercial flows between the UAE, Iraq, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, as well as improving access to Turkey and European markets.
The service is intended to cope with increasing cargo volumes and is part of AD Ports Group’s objective to establish more robust and diverse supply chains across the area.
The corporation has built up logistical capabilities at both ports for moving cargo, storing products and transporting them which helps to increase operating efficiency and expedite the flow of commodities.
