Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Mammoet has added the XCA60-EV hybrid mobile crane from XCMG Group to its fleet in Europe. This makes its range of low emission lifting equipment even bigger.
The 60-tonne model can run without releasing any emissions for six to eight hours on battery power or all the time when plugged into an external power source through an onboard power cable.
It runs on electricity, which means there is no noise from the combustion engine while it is lifting. This makes the site safer by making communication easier and lowering the overall noise level.
The release of the XCA60-EV shows how Chinese OEMs are making their mark in Europe's mobile crane market. They are introducing new environmentally focused technologies to the market, alongside established manufacturers such as Liebherr, Grove, and Terex.
