Caterpillar Launches Three Machines At bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Caterpillar unveiled the Cat 355 hydraulic excavator, Cat D5 dozer, and Cat 120 GC motor grader at bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2026 in Greater Noida, with a focus on mining, heavy infrastructure, and road construction applications.

The Cat 355 is a 53-tonne excavator used for quarrying, mining, and heavy earthmoving. It is powered by a Cat C13B engine and has an electrohydraulic system with Power, Smart, and Eco working modes. It can dig up to 296kN with its bucket. The machine has a 4.0m³ severe-duty or 4.5m³ heavy-duty bucket and a variable-gauge undercarriage with a maximum extension of 4,040mm for increased stability.

Along with it, the Cat D5 dozer has a 170hp Cat C7.1 engine, a fully automated gearbox, and differential steering. The 4.3m³ semi-universal blade is suitable for bulk material moving, with VPAT blade variants and machine-control technology extending its utility to grading and infrastructure applications.

For road construction, Caterpillar launched the Cat 120 GC motor grader, which is driven by a Cat C4.4 engine. The grader, which has a powershift gearbox, torque converter, and Eco mode, is designed mainly for low- to medium-duty applications such as road maintenance and finish grading.

The releases expand Caterpillar's equipment portfolio in India, where the company is represented by authorized dealers GMMCO and Gainwell.
