Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - More than 4,400 exhibitors from over 80 countries are expected to attend Automechanika Frankfurt 2026, which will be held at Messe Frankfurt in Germany from September 8 to 12.
The automotive aftermarket expo has seen a 5% rise in exhibitor numbers, with over 300,000 square meters of display space completely filled. Organizers anticipate that the final exhibitor count will be between 4,400 and 4,500 firms.
The development comes as the global automotive aftermarket is expected to grow by 5.8% in 2026, driven by longer vehicle lifecycles, growing need for independent spare parts, and new prospects in electrification, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.
This year's HighTech4Mobility event will concentrate on technology, including software-defined cars, autonomous driving, artificial intelligence, and digital services. Google Cloud and Boston Consulting Group will also talk about the expanding significance of AI in aftermarket operations, while other sessions will cover robots, automated repair procedures, ADAS diagnostics, and alternative powertrains.
The Automechanika Innovation Awards received a record 185 entries across ten categories, with the winners being announced on September 8 and their technology showcased throughout the exhibition.
Major automotive manufacturers are also increasing their aftermarket presence. BMW will demonstrate aftersales and remanufacturing solutions, while Stellantis will display goods and services that span the whole vehicle lifetime.
Visitors will also have access to the Future Mobility Park, a new Automechanika Pitlane, and the Experience Park, which will provide live demonstrations and hands-on experiences with developing automotive innovations.
Automechanika Frankfurt is also growing beyond the physical exhibition with the creation of the Automechanika Club, which will create a year-round worldwide community for automotive industry professionals and provide networking opportunities beyond the five-day event.
