Komatsu Debuts Autonomous Electric Truck With Trolley Assist

Komatsu has become the first mining company to operate an electric drive haul truck autonomously using a dynamic trolley assist system. By combining its FrontRunner Autonomous Haulage System with overhead electric trolley infrastructure, the truck generates power while moving, lowering emissions, increasing fuel efficiency, and extending equipment life, particularly on inclines. This is a significant step forward in Komatsu's efforts to make mining operations more environmentally friendly and autonomous.
