Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Isuzu Motors and Volvo Group have signed a new strategic agreement to jointly develop a common platform for medium heavy-duty truck models in Japan and other Asian markets. The collaboration will use Volvo Group technology and builds on the partnership framework established in October 2020.
The agreement, set for a minimum of 20 years, aims to address future logistics challenges while delivering greater value to customers and society. It includes the continued supply of key components, particularly powertrains from Volvo Group, along with technical support in development and quality assurance.
The partnership will focus on advancing platform development and enhancing customer support systems to ensure a stable and successful market launch. Both companies aim to leverage their respective technologies, create operational synergies, and strengthen their strategic alliance in the region.
