Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Gatik has emerged as the first firm in North America to deploy completely autonomous vehicles at a commercial scale, devoid of any human driver or safety observer, and has secured over $600 million in contractual income from active freight operations.
The milestone advances autonomous trucking from experimental programs to continuous, revenue-generating implementation. Since the start of freight-only operations in mid-2025, Gatik has successfully executed around 60,000 totally driverless deliveries without incident, consistently operating on highways and surface streets with its patented Gatik Driver™ autonomous technology.
The company's autonomous fleet has accumulated in excess of 2,000 hours of operation and over 10,000 driverless miles on public thoroughfares, facilitating regional logistical routes of up to 400 miles that link distribution centers, warehouses, and retail establishments. Operations now include Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Nebraska, and Ontario, Canada.
Gatik's 26- and 30-foot trucks convey ambient, refrigerated, and frozen products for prominent retailers.
The implementation occurred subsequent to autonomous safety evaluations and regulatory interactions with federal and state transportation authorities in the United States.
The effort leverages Gatik's partnership with Isuzu Motors, incorporating SAE Level 4 autonomous technology into Isuzu's medium-duty truck chassis.
