Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Egypt's expanding industrial and automotive manufacturing skills are shown by MCV, a Cairo-based commercial vehicle manufacturer, which continues to export double-decker buses to the UK.
After obtaining a contract with Transport for London in 2016 for hybrid double-decker buses constructed on Volvo Bus chassis, the business started providing buses to London.
Since then, MCV has increased manufacturing to include completely electric and hybrid bus types, many of which are still in use on the roads in London and other UK cities.
With facilities and subsidiaries in the UK, Germany, and South Africa, MCV, which was founded in Egypt, has developed into one of the biggest bus manufacturers in the Middle East and Africa, selling vehicles to Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa.
A variety of buses for urban transport networks have been provided by its UK operations, notably the EvoSeti double-decker variants that are often used in London on Volvo hybrid platforms.
