Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - DHL Group has established an enlarged Middle East and Africa Innovation Center in Dubai, cementing its long-term commitment to the region's logistics and supply chain infrastructure.
DHL Supply Chain is also investing roughly USD 130 million to build a new carbon-neutral, multi-user warehouse in Dubai South, near the Innovation Center and the future Al Maktoum International Airport.
The new warehouse will be erected on a 96,000 sq m property with 55,000 sq m of logistical space, with building set to begin in early 2026 and completion in 2027. The facility will serve different industries and adhere to rigorous security and environmental requirements, including net zero-carbon warehousing activities.
The 1,700-square-meter Innovation Center serves as a cooperation center for clients, technology partners, startups, and academic institutions, with an emphasis on practical innovation in areas like as automation, digitalization, and sustainable logistics. It is one of only four DHL Innovation Centers worldwide, along with locations in Cologne, Singapore, and Chicago.
