Saudi Arabia Begins Construction Of 480-MW Hexagon Government Data Centre

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority has set the groundwork for the Hexagon Data Centre in Riyadh, kicking off the building of a significant government data infrastructure project.

The facility will be developed on a 30 million square foot site in accordance with worldwide standards for availability, security, and operational resilience. The Uptime Institute has classified the center as Tier IV, with a total projected capacity of 480 megawatts.

When completed, the Hexagon facility is planned to be the world's biggest government data center in terms of electricity capacity. It is meant to accommodate government institutions' expanding data and digital service needs, as well as their increased dependence on electronic services.
