Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - King Salman Park in Riyadh and the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya are two big projects in Saudi Arabia that Officine Maccaferri has been chosen to work on.
Maccaferri will use their Terramesh Mineral system to strengthen the soil at King Salman Park. This system uses natural stone facings. The system is made to fit in with its surroundings while still being quite stable. Landscaped ramps will be as high as 9 meters and cover an area of more than 12,000 square meters.
Maccaferri will build retaining walls on the 200-meter cliffside for the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium, which will be one of the main places for the FIFA World Cup 2034. The Qiddiya Investment Company developed the stadium, which will include cutting-edge features including a roof that can be pulled back and a pitch that can be moved.
