Nakheel Awards $143.5 Million Dubai Islands Contract To Al Nasr Contracting

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - For infrastructure work on Island B of the Dubai Islands project, Nakheel has been granted a contract of AED 527 million ($143.5 million).

Al Nasr Contracting Company was given the contract, which includes building essential utilities and infrastructure to support the project's latter stages.

Roads, pavement, water supply, electricity and telecom networks, drainage and sewage systems, integration with district cooling, and cooperation with Island A are all included in the scope of work.

The construction is anticipated to provide the groundwork for the island's mixed-use, residential, and hotel projects.

The Dubai Islands will have 57 kilometers of shoreline, including 21 kilometers of beachfront, and cover an area of 18.6 square kilometers over five linked islands. Over 231,000 people are expected to live in the development's approximately 49,000 residences.

Three bridges connected to the Al Shindagha Corridor will connect the project, which is a component of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, to the mainland.
