Dubai Launches Affordable Housing Projects Under 2040 Master Plan

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in partnership with Dubai Municipality and Wasl Group, has announced a major affordable housing initiative aligned with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. The first phase will span six areas including Me’aisem 1, Al Twar 1, and Al Qusais Industrial Area 5, covering 1.46 million sq m.

The development will deliver over 17,000 residential units targeting skilled professionals across sectors. The initiative aims to offer affordable rental housing, enhance land use, and support vibrant, inclusive communities. The plan also promotes sustainable urban development and aligns with Dubai’s ‘20-Minute City’ vision for better accessibility and quality of life.
