Diriyah Company Signs $244 Million Deal For Grand Mosque Development

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Diriyah Company has signed a $244 million joint venture with Al-Majal El-Arabi Group and MAN Enterprise AlSaudia LLC to build the Grand Mosque in the second phase of the Diriyah masterplan. Designed by X Architects, the mosque will accommodate 11,400 worshippers across 12,320 square meters.

Blending modern engineering with Najdi-inspired architecture, the mosque will feature indoor and outdoor prayer areas, ablution facilities, a library overlooking Wadi Hanifah, and spaces for community events. It aims to achieve LEED Gold and Mostadam Gold certifications, incorporating energy-efficient materials and smart city integration for utilities and safety systems.

As part of the wider Diriyah Giga Project near Riyadh, the Grand Mosque is one of 31 planned across the development, contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals for sustainable growth and community development.
