Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - DAMAC Properties has announced the start of the first phase of DAMAC Hills Baghdad, which includes three residential communities inside a larger 6.2-million-square-meter development zone in the Iraqi capital.
The project highlights the company's expanding emphasis on large-scale regional initiatives and comes as Iraq's construction industry continues to flourish.
The construction, located near Abbas Ibn Firnas Square, provides easy access to Baghdad International Airport, surrounding universities, the Green Zone, and some of the city's major hotels.
The project is consistent with the National Investment Commission's wider initiatives to encourage greater private-sector investment in Iraq's urban and infrastructural development.
The development includes four- and five-bedroom villas in various styles influenced by Iraq's architectural history. DAMAC Hills Baghdad is designed as an integrated community with landscaped parks, recreational areas, a health club, dining facilities, a sophisticated water system, a dedicated power plant, solar heating, and 24-hour security and maintenance.
