AECOM To Oversee King Fahd Stadium Upgrade

AECOM has announced its continued partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport to provide site supervision consultancy for the redevelopment of King Fahd Sport City in Riyadh. The project supports the Kingdom’s preparations to host the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

Originally opened in 1987, the stadium—known as the “Pearl of Stadiums”—will undergo significant enhancements to meet international standards. Drawing on experience from global sporting events, AECOM and its subsidiary AECOM Hunt aim to transform the venue into a world-class sports facility aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals.
