Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - XCMG has unveiled the XC9260XE, a 126-tonne diesel-electric hybrid mining wheel loader built for high-volume open-pit mining operations.
This wheel loader is one of the biggest in its class, capable of loading 70-140 tonne mining trucks. It has a 26-tonne payload and a 13 m³ bucket, allowing for maximum material movement each loading cycle.
The XC9260XE is powered by a 783 kW diesel-electric powertrain combined with a high-voltage AC-DC-AC drive technology, which XCMG claims increases operational efficiency by up to 20% while lowering energy consumption when compared to traditional drivetrains.
The loader is designed for challenging mining sites and can work on grades of up to 19°. It also has anti-slip and anti-roll technology to preserve stability on steep or muddy haul routes. It also includes a low-noise operator cab with sound levels below 75 decibels, and service access has been engineered to shorten regular maintenance time to around 45 minutes, hence increasing machine availability and productivity.
