JCHX Orders Sandvik Fleet For Khoemacau Copper Mine In Botswana

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) -  JCHX Mining Management Co., Ltd. has awarded Sandvik Mining a contract to supply 32 underground machines for operations at MMG’s Khoemacau Copper Mine in the Kalahari Copper Belt. The order, booked in Q3 2025, includes trucks, loaders, drills, and a raise borer, with deliveries scheduled between late 2025 and mid-2026.

The fleet comprises 12 Toro® TH663i trucks, 10 Toro® LH621i loaders, eight Sandvik DD422i development drills, one DL432i longhole drill, and one Rhino 100 raise borer. The contract also provides Remote Monitoring Service to optimize performance.

Khoemacau, acquired by MMG in 2024, is undergoing expansion to raise annual copper production from current levels to 60,000 tonnes within two years, with longer-term plans to reach 130,000 tonnes through a new processing plant and additional mine development.
