Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Barloworld Equipment has delivered the first two Caterpillar Cat 707 Wide Body Trucks (WBT) in Southern Africa, marking the regional debut of the latest mining haul truck.

The units were delivered to a mining client in South Africa's Northern Cape as part of a fleet renewal plan that met the customer's PDMI Level 9 readiness standards.

The delivery marks the Cat 707 Wide Body Truck's first deployment in the Southern African mining sector, providing operators with a tried-and-true haulage platform engineered to improve productivity, safety, and operational performance in difficult mining conditions.

The trucks include VisionLink connection, which allows fleet managers to monitor equipment in real time, increase fleet visibility, and get data-driven insights to assist optimize machine usage and operational efficiency.
