Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - ASMO, a joint venture between DHL and Saudi Aramco, has begun building its first dedicated logistics center at King Salman Energy Park.
The 1.4 million square meter project, which is being carried out in collaboration with Arcapita, is the first of three logistics centers that will be built around Saudi Arabia.
As part of ASMO's plan to create an integrated logistics network across the Kingdom, the facility is built to serve logistical operations for Saudi Aramco, its affiliates, and clients in the industrial sector.
A 1.2 million square meter open yard, office space, chemical storage facilities, and a 43,000 square meter temperature-controlled warehouse are all part of the site's plans.
Additionally, the development will include smart technologies, solar infrastructure compatibility, EV charging readiness, and environmental measures aimed at LEED Gold certification.
By 2030, ASMO plans to run six logistics facilities around the Kingdom, including both new greenfield projects and Saudi Aramco logistics locations.
