Sarens Completes Heavy Lift Steel Plant Upgrade In Iraq

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - In order to assist a significant plant upgrading project, Sarens has finished transporting and installing big nitrogen cooler boxes at a steel and iron factory in Khor Al Zubair, Basra, Iraq.

The work was completed for the State Company for Steel and Iron on behalf of the customer, Anmaa Co.

Two enormous cooler boxes, each weighing 91 tons and reaching more than 30 meters in length, had to be lifted and installed as part of the project.

To finish the installation on the limited industrial site, Sarens used a 600-ton crawler crane with a 90-meter boom and a 350-ton mobile crane working in tandem lift mode.

Additionally, the company transported the large cargoes using a 24-axle Kamag trailer system.

More than 20 trailers were needed for the entire mobilization, and a crew of 17 people oversaw site coordination, crane installation, and lifting operations.

Sarens' heavy lifting and engineering skills in challenging industrial settings were shown by the project's successful completion in five days of on-site operations.
