Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - In order to accommodate growth and increasing cargo volumes, Konecranes is scheduled to supply nine container handling machines to Togo's Lomé Container Terminal.
Delivery of the order, which consists of seven SMV 7/8 ECC90 empty container handlers and two SMV 4632 TC5 reach stackers, is planned for the second quarter of 2026. The equipment will take the place of the terminal's outdated fleet.
Situated in a major logistical center in West Africa, Lomé Container Terminal manages transshipment and regional freight and has a sizable fleet of Konecranes, which includes 32 rubber-tyred gantry cranes.
The new equipment will improve efficiency and dependability while supporting yard activities, such as empty container stacking and container handling.
Paterson Simons, which offers regional sales and aftersales services across West and Central Africa, will assist in supplying the equipment.
In order to reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency, the units are outfitted with remote monitoring systems that allow for real-time performance tracking and predictive maintenance.
