Congo Container Terminal Expands Fleet With Konecranes Equipment

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - In order to accommodate growing container traffic and terminal expansion, a container terminal in the Republic of the Congo has added additional machinery from Konecranes to its fleet.

Five Konecranes Liftace 4532 TCE5 reach stackers, six Konecranes Liftace E 6/7 ECC9 empty container handlers, and one Konecranes Gottwald Mobile Harbor Crane are included in the order.

The equipment will promote safer and more comfortable working conditions for terminal personnel while increasing yard operations and container handling efficiency.

According to Konecranes, the delivery is a component of its ongoing collaboration with the terminal operator, which is bolstered locally by partner Paterson Simons.

Growing container volumes and ongoing investments in port facilities and logistical capacity across Central Africa are reflected in the fleet growth.
