Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - A memorandum of understanding to provide integrated solutions enabling zero-emission construction sites has been signed by Hitachi Energy and Volvo Construction Equipment.
To assist contractors in making the switch to low-emission operations, the partnership will integrate clean power supplies, energy management systems, electric construction equipment, and charging infrastructure.
The companies stated that in order to meet the increasing need for more sustainable and efficient construction operations, the cooperation focuses on providing workable, ready-to-deploy site solutions rather than standalone technology.
In order to enable fully electrified construction and industrial sites, the agreement will investigate system integration, charging options, operational management, and commercial models.
Future cooperation may also include increased service options, digital integration, and linked equipment.
Hitachi Energy emphasized the significance of integrated power and energy systems in allowing large-scale zero-emission construction operations, while Volvo CE said that the alliance helps the broader industry transition toward electrification and decarbonization.
