Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - Noor Al Sahara General Contracting (NAS), a UAE road and infrastructure contractor, is considering Komatsu's 3DMG Smart Construction technology for use on its bulldozer fleet.

The contractor recently conducted conversations with Komatsu, Komatsu Middle East, and UAE distributor Galadari Trucks & Heavy Equipment (GTHE) about the 3DMG Smart Kit and its possible use in NAS infrastructure and road building projects.

Komatsu's 3DMG (3D Machine Guidance) Smart Kit may be placed on compatible dozers to provide operators 3D machine guidance during earthmoving and grading tasks. The technique aims to increase grading accuracy and productivity while minimizing dependency on traditional surveys and several passes.

For NAS, the system might enable applications including as road creation, site preparation, earthworks, and final grading, enabling machine operators to work more closely with digital project plans and shortening the time necessary to meet specified levels.

The conversations are part of NAS's overall evaluation of construction technologies for its UAE fleet, with the contractor looking at equipment and digital systems that may boost machine utilization and project delivery.
