McHale Plant Sales To Acquire Marubeni-Komatsu In Major UK Expansion

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - McHale Plant Sales, one of Ireland's major distributors of construction, quarrying, recycling, forestry, and agricultural equipment, has agreed to buy Marubeni-Komatsu Ltd., the existing distributor of Komatsu construction and utility equipment in the United Kingdom.

As part of the transition, Komatsu Europe will acquire a minority stake in McHale Plant Sales.

Subject to regulatory clearance, the company will operate in the United Kingdom as McHale Komatsu beginning in January 2026.

The purchase marks a key milestone in McHale Plant Sales' long-standing partnership with Komatsu, expanding the company's penetration into the UK market. The new structure will enable McHale Plant Sales to sell Komatsu's entire product line while also improving after-sales service, parts availability, and customer support across the area.

All current distribution branches will stay operational to guarantee customer continuity, with additional investment planned to improve support services. The corporation will also fulfill all existing warranties and maintenance contracts.
