Develon Targets Middle East And Africa With New 20-Tonne Excavator

Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - HD Construction Equipment has launched a new 20-tonne Develon excavator to grow its position in developing countries, including the Middle East and Africa.

The new machine was launched at the company’s production site in Pune, India, in front of dealers from the Middle East, underscoring the significance of the area to Develon’s development plans.

The excavator is designed for cost-sensitive markets, providing reasonable pricing with the durability and performance necessary for demanding applications in construction, quarrying, infrastructure, and earthmoving industries.

The Middle East and Africa are rapidly developing as potential markets for construction equipment makers, with predictions suggesting annual demand for excavators in the area might be in the order of 23,000 units by 2030.

HD Construction Equipment intends to turn its India manufacturing unit into an export center for developing countries. The Pune facility currently manufactures both Hyundai and Develon equipment, and has recently increased its yearly production capacity to suit the expanding demand throughout Africa, the Middle East and other emerging areas.

The new excavator has been built to give excellent productivity and reduced operating costs, the business claimed, allowing contractors and fleet owners in the Middle East and Africa increase their efficiency while retaining competitive ownership prices.
