PreZero, a global waste management and recycling company, has ordered 35 battery-electric trucks from Volvo, marking a significant step in its efforts to reduce emissions. The majority of the order consists of Volvo FM Low Entry models—Volvo’s first truck designed solely for electric drive.
This purchase builds on PreZero Sweden’s adoption of electric trucks in 2022 and includes new investments in charging infrastructure in the Stockholm area. The order is the largest of its kind in Sweden’s recycling industry.
The new trucks, including FM Low Entry, FM Electric, and FL Electric models, are optimized for urban environments with enhanced visibility, quieter operation, and zero exhaust emissions. They are also equipped with Volvo’s Dynamic Steering system and advanced camera-based mirrors to boost safety and reduce driver fatigue.
