
Dubai (PlantAndEquipment.com) - In the first half of 2026, Abu Dhabi Mobility logged 31,075 rides using self-driving cars, a sign that the emirate is making steady headway in launching autonomous transport services.
The travels were conducted between January and June 2026, as part of Abu Dhabi’s wider plan for a safer, smarter, and more sustainable transport network.
Abu Dhabi Mobility stated it is expediting the implementation of autonomous mobility solutions, coupled with the growth of electric car infrastructure, to enable the next generation of transport throughout the emirate.
Abu Dhabi’s smart mobility objectives include autonomous and electric transport, which is anticipated to enhance road safety, decrease emissions, and provide more efficient travel alternatives to residents and tourists.
